La Voce di Pietra

Perfumer's Note

La Voce di Pietra opens like a melisma itself — a cascade of bright, resinous air lifting off sun-baked Umbrian stone, carrying wild fennel and the bite of bitter orange across cobbled piazzas. As the song deepens into its middle passage, beeswax and orris root bloom like candlelight inside the Basilica di San Francesco, entwined with the dusty, petal-dry sorrow of Rosa gallica and the ancient amber weight of myrrh. The drydown is the long resonance after the final note fades — labdanum clinging to cold chapel walls like a whispered prayer, white musks dissolving into the stillness of a valley that has heard everything and forgotten nothing. It is the scent of a human voice made holy by the stone that carries it.

“The enchanting sound of Italian medieval singer Patrizia Bovi's melismatic singing voice echoing all through Assisi, Italy”
