The Dust Remembers

Perfumer's Note

There is a stillness to this scent — the particular silence of a room sealed for decades, where time has softened every edge and turned glamour into memory. It opens with the fizzing aldehydic sparkle of a classic grande dame perfume, slightly oxidized, as if the bottle's seal was only just broken. The heart blooms slowly: a powdery iris, a rose that has dried pressed between the pages of a letter never sent, and the faint warmth of beeswax from an old vanity candle. At its base, animalic civet and mossy oakmoss anchor the whole in something unmistakably human — a trace of whoever wore this last, still lingering in the fibers of an old fur stole.
